We are an organisation who are dedicated to creating awareness of the correct application of Hijama Therapy. Our aim is to teach Hijama Therapy the way it was practiced by the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), thus reviving and establishing a part of Islam, while setting high health and safety standards, which we expect our students to continue to follow and maintain.

Simply Hijama started off as a small business selling Hijama equipment and providing treatment. We quickly realised how little people knew about Hijama Therapy. As Hijama Therapy is becoming better known, there has been a sudden demand for Hijama Therapists.

We are among a small number of training organisations that are trying to establish Hijama Therapy as a recognised and accepted holistic complementary therapy in the UK and internationally.

The Higher Diploma in Hijama Therapy provides an exciting, dynamic and thoroughly enjoyable learning experience for all students. The course is open to experienced complementary health practitioners and people with no background in Hijama Therapy. Whatever your background, it provides a vital ‘stepping stone’ for candidates wanting to move into the rapidly growing field of complementary health. The Higher Diploma in Hijama Therapy is equal to a level 5 course.

The Higher Diploma in Hijama Therapy is an all-inclusive course covering the Hijama therapy Core Curriculum, teaching Hijama in detail at a practitioner level. The course allows the student to expand their knowledge of Hijama Therapy and practice skilfully. You will also be able to create treatment plans based on individual clients needs, various illnesses and conditions . On successful completion of the examination, postgraduate students will be able to begin a new career or earn additional income in a number of different ways.

This Diploma is aimed at students who want to practice Hijama Therapy at a professional level. Upon completion of the Higher Diploma in Hijama Therapy you will qualify as a Qualified Hijama Practitioner (QHP).

Our course has been accredited by the CMA (Complementary Medical Association), IPHM (International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine) and we are also one of the first "PWA Endorsed" training schools. 

ENROLMENT

This is a flexible course and students can enrol anytime of the year. To enrol on this course, students must have completed the Beginners Course in Hijama Therapy.

Our aim is to make Hijama Therapy accessible all over the world.  Therefore we welcome all foreign and international applicants who can speak English at a satisfactory level.

The online course is designed to reach out to and accommodate national and international applicants. Modern technology has made it possible to even teach a “hands on” therapy like Hijama Therapy online. We provide instructional videos for our International Students to support them with the practical components of the therapy. 

All you need to enrol on this course is a computer and an Internet connection!

COURSE DELIVERY

Students receive access to the “Student Page” where they can access and download the study materials (access to an Internet connection and a computer is required). Students will also have access to the instructional videos on the Student Page.

COURSE DURATION

This is a flexible course, but we do expect students to responsibly follow the timeline and finish the course within the recommended 1 year time frame. We recommend a maximum study time of one month per module.

Students can complete the Diploma in 6 months or less.

PRACTICAL TRAINING

The Practical Training  session will be held live at a designated location in Forest Gate, East London. Instructional videos are also provided to all students.

International students:

Students who live abroad who are not able to attend live practical training in UK, have access to our instructional videos.

UK students:

Students who live in the UK must attend at least one live practical training session. This will be organised according to student demand. Live practical training sessions will be based in Forest Gate, East London. Students can attend more than one practical training session FREE OF CHARGE if required.

We have also teamed up with The Cupping Clinic (Leyton) to provide a structured clinical practical training component for our male students who enrol on the Higher Diploma in Hijama Therapy.

Please note: It is compulsory for students in the UK to attend one live practical training session. 

COURSE COMPONENTS

Students are assessed and receive marks from the following 3 assessments:

1.Student Tasks and Online Tests:

The course consists of 5 modules and at the end of each module; students are required to complete tasks in the form of quizzes, essays or multiple choice questions.

2. Case Studies:

100 hours of case studies must be completed during the course of study. You have to choose 6 patients and provide treatment over a period of 5 sessions for each patient.

3. Final Practical exam:

The final practical exam will be in the form of a video presentation of a full consultation and treatment of a patient, or a live session via Skype.

FINAL GRADE

You will receive a score for each of the assessments you undertake which will be totalled to give you your final mark for the Higher Diploma in Hijama Therapy.

Marks are collated from the following:

Students will be awarded:

Distinction: 90% and above

Merit: 80%-89%

Pass: 70%-79%

Fail: 69% and below

A certificate of Diploma will be awarded to students who successfully complete and pass the course.

This Diploma is aimed at students who want to practice Hijama Therapy at a professional level. Upon completion of the Higher Diploma in Hijama Therapy you will qualify as a Qualified Hijama Practitioner (QHP).

POST GRADUATION

We have negotiated a block scheme with a leading insurance company for our students, graduates and full members are able to take out insurance through us upon completion of the Higher Diploma in Hijama Therapy. 

Our Hijama Training has been approved by the GRCCT. Approved members and graduates of Simply Hijama can also register with the GRCCT. 

The sector of Hijama therapy and complementary health is ever changing and growing, so it is a must that Hijama Practitioners get up to date information and receive the latest training.

As a professional association, graduates have the opportunity to apply for membership with us to receive continual support and discounts on Hijama equipment. Our graduates receive a free one year membership with Simply Hijama upon completion of the Higher Diploma. As a member of Simply Hijama you would also receive automatic notifications on any important updates in the Hijama Industry.

We make a promise to provide ongoing support for our graduates, and we plan to offer regular short courses as part of the Continual Professional Development.
